Aim and Scope

The goal of the GDR-REST is to bring together different theoretical spectroscopy communities that were previously separate, but are now united by a common and crucial subject: the study of excited-state spectroscopy in various systems, including both weakly and strongly correlated systems, valence and core electrons, etc.

The General Meeting on Île d'Oléron will be interdisciplinary in nature, building upon the achievements of the GDR-REST, in order to assess the current state of the field, share knowledge, address key challenges, and set the direction for future work across the different communities.

To this end, six main lectures have been scheduled to provide participants with an overview of real-time spectroscopies, Green's functions approaches, electron-phonon coupling, and other advances in theory and algorithms, fostering connections among physicists, chemists, and mathematicians.

Besides the main funding from the CNRS, via the GDR REST, this edition is also financed by the CEA.
