Fabien is a permanent researcher at Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives, in the Service de Recherches de Métallurgie Physique, a lab devoted to the study of irradiation damage in materials. His activity deals with the description of defects in insulating materials from computer simulations, with particular interest on semiconductor materials for the photovoltaic energy.
Giorgia's research interests focus on theoretical and numerical modelling of material properties for energy applications, ranging from thermoelectricity and thermal management to photovoltaic applications. In the last years she is paying particular attention on modelling the intriguing emergent phenomena observed in layered materials when moving from the 3D to the 2D limit.
Francesco's research activity is mainly based on the theoretical study, via the state-of-the-art of numerical methods, of electronic properties of real materials. He is particularly interested in the study of the limits of actual approaches and approximations, in order to propose solutions to go towards a better comprehension and description of the physics of the studied system.
Hans-Christian is a permanent CNRS researcher in Marseille. He focusses on the theoretical description of the properties of materials. In particular, he studies metal clusters using mostly time-dependent density functional theory, with an emphasis on the real-time formalism.
