The bi-weekly seminar series “Virtual International Seminar on Theory Advancement” (VISTA) is a “presentation journal”, a platform to facilitate interactions and scientific discussions of the International community at covid time and beyond. The seminar features presentations by researchers at various levels (from undergraduate students to faculty and scientists) on theory and computations for nonequilibrium dynamics of excited states and quantum dynamics, broadly defined.

Je me permets de vous informer de la tenue des Theory Days 2020 - dont
le focus cette année est porté sur :
Theory Days on Multiscale Approaches applied to Irradiation Processes
Ces journées auront lieu les mercredi 25 novembre à partir de 14h et
jeudi 26 novembre toute la journée.
Habituellement ces journées sont organisées en présentiel à Toulouse,
mais cette année elles auront lieu en intégralité sur ZOOM
Nous y voyons là une belle opportunité aussi de se joindre à un
workshop passionnant cette année !

Avec un collègue du Mans (R. Busselez), nous avons obtenu un financement du ministère pour une thèse dont l'intitulé est:"Dynamique des électrons et des phonons dans les systèmes photoexcités" et dont la description complète est donnée dans le fichier ci-attaché. Ce financement est conditionné par l'adéquation du candidat avec le sujet lors d'une audition organisée par l'école doctorale de l'université du Mans. Nous cherchons un candidat ayant un solide bagage en physique de la matière condensée et motivé par la théorie et la simulation.

It is a pleasure to inform that the GDR REST has been renewed for 5 years.
The Istitut of Physics of the CNRS (INP) released early this year a leaflet with the list of gdr's. Rest is at page 44. Bonne lecture.
